It covers such things, as what concrete mixtures give best results, how to pour, decorate and sell the finished products and much more.

For the latest book "How to Make Latex Moulds" we photographed our day to day procedures making latex moulds to give a good practical insight into making a wide range of latex moulds.

15th May 2007 - PAVERS!! - As Promised we have been doing a lot of work developing our concrete/cement paver moulds. They are made using much thicker ABS plastic than our PVC plaster hobby moulds in order to give greater production life.

Our tests show that ABS is the only plastic to use for paver manufacturing as it resists the abrasive nature of concrete very well. The coswt of replacing a mould is a fraction of the cost of producing latex moulds with fibreglass back up and they are available immediately rather than the week it takes to make a latex mould and backup. clicking here to see the latest paver moulds available

24th January 2007 - Custom Soap Moulds- We are about to develop a series of exclusive and custom Australiana based soaps for two keen entrepreneurs in the New South Wales highlands area. As you will only be able to purchase these soaps from these two ladies, we will get their permission to feature their range and how to get in touch with them at a later stage. Good luck to them both in their soap making venture. Joseph and I tried samples of their soap that they left with us and they were terrific. We will keep you posted on the progress of this project.

17th January 2007 - Jewellery Mould - While we are arranging supplies of the special HDPE plastic to use in the production of our range of jewellery moulds we have organised supplies of this imported mould. Only two plastics give the clean, no release agent necessary, gloss finish required for resin casting jewellery moulds, namely polyethylene and polypropylene. Both are brutes to vacuum form so we expect to be having fun over the next few weeks building up our range.

Instead of having one or two of each size and shape on a mould, jewellery makers tell us that they need a number of a particular shape on each mould. That having only two identical shapes means that they have to keep pouring to build up enough beads for even the simplest necklace.

As this seems to make sense, we will not follow the example of this imported mould but rather have 6 or 8 or more of each shape on the one mould. Suggestions as to shapes would be appreciated with our first request being for several size heart shapes.

16th January 2007 - Resin jewellery is very much the current item of interest in the jewellery marketplace. Check out the latest developments in this exciting area in our new article.Click here to read the article.
